Grigol Vashadze met with the Ambassador of Australia to Georgia, Turkey and Azerbaijan
The Chairman of the United National Movement Grigol Vashadze met with the Ambassador of Australia to Georgia, Turkey and Azerbaijan - Mark Ines-Brown and thanked for the political and economic support.
During the meeting, they discussed issues regarding the security and occupation of the two regions of Georgia. They also discussed the policy of the Russian Federation in the South Caucasus and the threats that are a direct consequence of this policy. The conversation also covered the domestic political and economic situation of Georgia, the protests of June 20 and its following condition.
Mr. Vashadze briefed the Ambassador on the plans of the United National Movement and the United Opposition regarding the 2020 parliamentary elections.
In addition, the necessity to coordinate pro-Western opposition parties for the elections and to comply with OSCE recommendations by the Georgian authorities was emphasized.
